Soul Smoke Gold represents the pinnacle of my signature blend, crafted with the rarest resins I currently source. Where the original uses Indonesian Dragon’s Blood, this features Premium Socotran Dragon’s Blood (Dracaena Cinnabari)—from the isolated island that produces the world’s finest quality, with deeper color and more complex aromatics. The Premium Siam Benzoin (Styrax Tonkinensis) brings a more refined sweetness, less heavy than common Benzoin, with subtle floral undertones.
The Copal ratio inverts here—White Copal (Bursera Bipinnata) takes the lead, bringing exceptional clarity and an almost crystalline brightness that makes the blend feel more elevated. Golden Copal (Bursera Microphylla) plays a supporting role, adding just enough warmth. Premium Yemeni Myrrh (Commiphora Ornifolia) replaces standard varieties with its more aromatic, less bitter profile that ancient traders valued above all others.
Mastic (Pistacia Lentiscus) remains constant—its pine-fresh clarity needs no improvement. But surrounded by these premium resins, it shines differently, creating bridges between the bright Copal and deep Dragon’s Blood that feel more refined, more complete.
Hand-crafted into distinctive pieces with a rougher, more textured surface than the original. The color is noticeably richer—deep terracotta to burgundy red with copper highlights and dark speckled areas where the Premium Dragon’s Blood concentrates. The surface has a crystalline sparkle that catches light beautifully, giving each piece an almost mineral-like quality.
Burns best on the included mica plate at moderate heat—around 180-200°F for electric burners. The difference from the original is immediate: brighter opening, more complex middle notes, and a deeper, longer-lasting base. The Premium Dragon’s Blood provides a richness that common varieties can’t match, while the Premium Benzoin adds sophistication without heaviness.
